Book club held - İstimâlet - Bosna u osmanskoj političkoj strategiji: 15. i 16. Stoljeće

On 9 May 2021, Dr. Sci. Sedad Bešlija from the Institute of History of University of Sarajevo introduced his book “İstimâlet - Bosna u osmanskoj političkoj strategiji: 15. i 16. Stoljeće” to the BYS participants. Within this session, the BYS participants discussed the concept of İstimâlet in the context of Ottoman politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the 15th and 16th centuries. The participants familiarized themselves with the phases of Ottoman conquest in Bosnia taking into account political circumstances that were present at that time. _____________________________________________ The Balkan Youth School is an educational platform in the humanities, social and religious sciences. The study program is organized through modules, providing basic knowledge of history, human rights, international relations, political theories and issues, socio-political and religious issues, Ottoman history, arts and architecture, genocide studies, leadership and political thought. The project is being implemented by the Balkan Studies Center of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and supported by The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).
