IUS Professors Join Inauguration of Research Centre Against Islamophobia in Ankara
Assistant Professor Dr. Hamza Preljević, Coordinator of the Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) Program and Director of the Center for Balkan Studies (BSC), together with Full Professor Dr. Muhidin Mulalić, both from the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), participated in the official inauguration of the Research Centre Against Islamophobia at Ankara Bilim University, Türkiye. Their attendance was by invitation of Prof. Dr. Yavuz Demir, Rector of Ankara Bilim University, and both scholars now serve as members of the Centre’s Advisory Board.
The inauguration attracted a wide array of distinguished guests from Türkiye and abroad, underscoring the event’s international importance. Among the keynote speakers were: Prof. Dr. Yavuz Demir, Rector of Ankara Bilim University; Mr. Burhanettin Duran, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye; Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, President of the Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet); Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye; and Prof. Dr. Cem Harun Meydan, Vice-Rector of Ankara Bilim University.
