MoU Signed Between Sarajevo Memorial Centre and International University of Sarajevo
In a significant step toward fostering academic collaboration and promoting the culture of remembrance, the Sarajevo Memorial Center and the International University in Sarajevo (IUS), through the Balkan Studies Center (BSC), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU was signed by the Sarajevo Memorial Center Director, Dr. Ahmed Kulanić, and the International University Sarajevo (IUS) Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım.
The primary aim of this Memorandum is to regulate the cooperation between the two institutions, laying down a framework for joint activities and programs aimed at enhancing academic, educational, and professional collaboration. The agreement underscores mutual respect and understanding between the signatories.
The MoU also outlines several key objectives and areas of cooperation, including organizing and improving science and practice related to the remembrance of those who lost their lives during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995, implementing domestic and international projects, exchanging experiences, and organizing academic events such as conferences, symposia, and workshops, and facilitating formal cooperation and providing training opportunities at the Sarajevo Memorial Center for university students to enhance their professional competencies.
