Turkish language course held - Introduction to Turkish by Innovative Language Learning Methods (Part I)
On February 27, 2021 the Balkan Youth School (BYS) has continued its program with two-hour lecture entitled Introduction to Turkish by Innovative Language Learning Methods (Part I), which was delivered by Ms. Fikreta Fetahović, an experienced Turkish language Lecturer at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS).
Ms. Fetahović introduced students to the basics of Turkish grammar and vocabulary. In this introductory course students developed basic listening and reading comprehension, as well as oral and written basic communication skills, including culturally appropriate language use. The course was made up with interactive online session, as well as follow-up exercises and activities.
Introduction to Turkish by Innovative Language Learning Methods is a Turkish language course within the scope of the BYS. The course aims to educate students in excellence in education and Turkish language, in line with the objectives of BYS.

The Balkan Youth School is an educational platform in the humanities, social and religious sciences. The study program is organized through modules, providing basic knowledge of history, human rights, international relations, political theories and issues, socio-political and religious issues, Ottoman history, arts and architecture, genocide studies, leadership and political thought.
The project is being implemented by the Balkan Studies Center of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and supported by The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).
